Every light starts red for a random stretch — could be one second, could be six. Everyone in the room is staring at the exact same light at the exact same moment.
The instant the screen goes green, tap anywhere (or hit space on a laptop). Your reaction time in milliseconds is your score for that light. Miss it entirely and you get the full 2000ms.
A yellow READY pulse or the word GO in RED means it is a fake-out — tapping on those is a false start and costs you a flat 1000ms. The fakes even make the same noise as the real thing, so trust your eyes, not your ears.
The host picks 3, 5 or 7 lights. Add up your times across all of them — fastest total takes the round, and the single quickest tap of the match gets its own shout-out.
